Server 2016 road map? (r2) style or just "feature releases"?

I'm been trying to find a server 2016 roadmap from microsoft. R2 for 2012 was approx 12-18 months from the 2012 launch. I was just curious to whether server 2016 will have a R2 update or just a series of "feature updates" similar to windows 10?

 

Anybody found anything on this? I can't find anything via Google.

AFAIK Server 2016 follows the same release cycle as either LTSB or CBB depending on what edition you install. If this is the case, I would watch Windows 10's roadmap carefully and assume there wont be an R2 release, but it's all guessing at this point.

By all accounts, server 2016 is going to follow a similar pattern to Windows 10 and release updates, not so much with an R2. That said however, as @Blue_Cookeh said, it is all a bit of a guess at the moment until Microsoft decide to tell us something concrete!

I agree with the idea of keeping an eye on the WIndows 10 roadmap!
