How do you all do your mailing lists in GAFE ? Currently we use AD Distribution Groups synced to GAFE (leftover from the exchange days) but everyone complains they can't expand the members when composing emails and as such are constantly asking me for lists...

We do it the same way. Haven't had any complaints from our users. Aren't your mailing list names descriptive enough that people know who should be members? ie Year11tutors, TeachersofMaths.

I don't think they trust them enough - they are descriptive (e.g. Senior Teaching Mailing List) but I still get asked, they were too used to being able to click the + to expand the members in outlook. I also get asked this when they want to send mails round and want to exclude one member of staff, then I need to teach them how to create their own...

Also not helped by lack of HR input to me, I don't usually get told what groups to put people in
