Unifi AC Pro EDU

Hello everybody,

 

Got told the head wants a PA system and the wireless updating,

I suggested the Unifi EDU system as I'd been looking at the wireless points anyway and thought might as well throw the PA bit into one system

was very surprised when they came back and said go for it, (thought we didn't have any money, or at least thats what I've been told all year)

 

So my question for the good people of Edugeek,

anyone used these?

is it as easy as the sales people are saying for broadcasting?

and lastly how loud are they? as they are going to be in every other classroom, (might expand if we need to)

We use UniFi (don't have any of the EDU varient)

 

But they are amazing value plus the AC range (new ones) have got us out of so many tight spots with wifi dead zones, seem to go through the thickist of walls!

I would suggest that in general Unifi is fine for wireless, but I would not rely on it for something like a PA system as it's the sort of feature that Ubiquiti like to forget about when changing software versions (ask the people with v1 camera gear about their thoughts! )

I looked at the EDU for PA, but found it was mostly app based and couldn't, for instance hook it into our sip system so a desk phone could connect to it.
