was wondering if anyone has experienced any issue with Chrome crashing recently. It seems some random users are having an issue where when in Office 365 it keeps hanging and then the Kill page or wait box pops up and you have to close and reopen chrome.

Internet explorer works totally fine.

Have updated to the latest distribution of chrome and I thought that had done it but it came back. Also disabled hardware acceleration in chrome but again still there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. I've noticed this recently on several different machines. Eventually an uninstall and/or update seemed to fix it but I'm not sure exactly what I did to fix it!

Seemed to happen with gsuite particularly but other sites as well.

Hmm. Looks like I spoke too soon. Was fine for a few days but back to crashing again.

I prefer Firefox anyway......

I'm working with Matty on this and we're trying everything we can think of but can't find any pattern yet as to what's causing this issue with certain users/computers (currently we have only a couple of people affected in a couple of our schools - not the majority of users/schools). The latest test (following a full rebuild of the PC which didn't help) was to use the previous version of Chrome (54.x) and stop it updating. Same issue occurs.

Is anyone else seeing freezes/"Aw Snap!" with Chrome lately? (Especially with Web Outlook.)

(We can't use Firefox as it doesn't support NTLM.)

We seem to be experiencing random tab crashes on Chrome 54. Cant be 100% sure but this only appears to be on Win 10 Ent our Win 7 machines seem stable

We think we may have narrowed this down to Rapport/Trusteer Endpoint Protection. Early indications are good but we've seen this before where something appears to fix it and then it stops working again later that day or the next.

This is now confirmed by Trusteer. Google Chrome Version 55 Support | Trusteer (After previously announcing that version 55 was supported.)

Oddly though, when we rolled back to version 54 it still didn't work, when it had previously. Anyway, it's gone now.
