I`m trying to get GPP running properly on our RD Web access without any joy!

This works fine on the network but I cant seem to get it to work through RD Web, we have published Sims through RD Web which requires the S:\ to be mapped for it to work.

I have published explorer.exe and I can map the drives manually but I need it to run automatically (so it then maps the Sims share for Sims to work)

Am i missing something?, GPP should still work fine through RD web right?

You don't need* S: mapped for SIMS to work. Source: we're running SIMS as a 2012R2 RemoteApp and using UNC paths in SIMS.ini (as we do with the laptop-specific SIMS.ini because it's faster if resuming from sleep and then firing up SIMS).

You can either install SIMS from a UNC path (automatically puts UNC paths into SIMS.ini) or push out a modified SIMS.ini after install.

*OK, technically you do need it for Exams Organiser, Nova T6 (I think) and Options, but most SIMS users have no need of these.

Thanks for the info.

I believe that is correct but it doesn't seem to work for me, I installed SIMS on the session host by browsing to the network share and installing Simsapplicationsetup.exe, it ran through fine,

the sims.ini on the SH C:\windows points back to sims share (a UNC path), but still doesn't work.

When the SH doesnt have the S:\ mapped then it comes up with the "Incorrect s:\simsconnect.ini file" - Mapping s:\ manually works fine.
