pCounter Printing Issue (is it pCounter?)

Afternoon All,

 

We have taken delivery of 3 new Konica Mintola MFDs. I have added the drivers to the 2012R2 server which is running pCounter. I have used pCounter Embedded to send over the software and the configuration template. All is good.

 

Now it comes to printing...

 

1. Staff can print to the secure pull queue from anywhere in the school and access it from any printer. This works.

 

2. Pupils print direct and it auto bills to the pupil general account. However, direct printing is not working. The job hits the printer and then we get a message in the print job window which says : Printing: Waiting for the printer to print... (30)' - there is a 30 second countdown and then the job gets deleted.

 

Cannot for the life of me work out what I have done wrong. I have three machines like this. I have checked the configuration of the driver and the pCounter port, but it doesn't even print a test page when I send it direct through the driver properties.

 

I've tried the machine driver and 'KM Universal Driver 3.1' - neither is playing.

 

Logged the call with AIT, but sometimes it's quicker to ask on here.

 

Anyone seen this before?

It's a setting on he device - allow unauthenticated printing or similar
