IT Network / Support Engineer - St Neot's Preparatory School - £25,000 pa (pro rata)

St Neot’s Preparatory School is looking to recruit a part-time (3 days per week) IT Network / Support Engineer to support a wide array of technologies as part of a forward thinking Independent school. The IT Network / Support Engineer role is vital to the day-to-day running of the school and will predominantly provide support to the network and server infrastructure as well as acting as back up Desktop Engineer when required.

Knowledge & Qualifications required:

 

You should be willing to learn or have experience within a similar role and knowledge of the following systems:

 

• Networking - Cisco switches with knowledge of VLAN’s, QOS and

WiFi\LAN\WAN\VPN

• Virtualisation\VMWare

• Dell Storage Area Network

• Windows Server Administration (2003/2008/2012)

• Active Directory including Group Policy administration

• Microsoft Exchange

• BackUp and Restore technologies, in particular Symantec/Veeam

• Firewalls

• Telephone systems

Knowledge of current Data Protection Regulations would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will ideally be a flexible, adaptable engineer who has great problem solving skills with the ability to work as part of a team or independently.

This role has the potential to expand into a full-time position.
