AgeeTech Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Hello all, I installed WindowsTH-RSAT_WS2016-x64 for Windows 10. When I invoke Active Directory Users and Computer and attempt to create a new user, nothing happens. I see I can create a new user using Active Directory Administrative Center, but it would be much cleaner just using ADUC like we always have. Is there a security setting I'm missing somewhere? In case you don't answer my question and totally blow this off, have a good safe Thanksgiving anyway. Mickey
3s-gtech Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 What user are you logged onto the workstation with? Are other domain functions orking properly on that machine (like GP processing, DNS etc)?
AgeeTech Posted November 23, 2016 Author Posted November 23, 2016 I'm logged on as a Domain Admin. I did a GPRESULT /R and it shows that GP is being applied properly.
3s-gtech Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Very odd. I've managed to use ADUC through RSAT on Windows 10, that was with 1511 and I haven't tried with 1607. Do you have any other Windows 10 clients to try this on, to rule out weirdness with this build?
AgeeTech Posted November 23, 2016 Author Posted November 23, 2016 Yeah is weird. I was wondering if I need to click right and "run as administrator" but that did not make a difference. I believe this is the 1607 that I'm on. All of our workstations are imaged using MDT so I don't have a different box to use on. I Have tried other workstations of the same image, but it does not work for any of us. I can still use the Administrative Center to create new users, but that's not the "quick" way to create users.
