Dell Poweredge 10gb NIC advice

I`m in the market for a new Server and looking at planning for future upgrade to a 10gb backbone.

 

Can anyone offer advice on the best options for the Dell Poweredge`s?, are the Broadcom adapters ok? or best to go for the Intel cards?

I have been using intel 10GB cards for the past 3 years with Server 2012. Works really well and no complaints here.

Definitely go with Intel to save yourself headaches in the future.

 

We have X520 and X540 NICS in our servers.

I always go for Intel also. All our servers have X520 cards in them for 10Gb.

 

Our earlier servers had Broadcom cards, and we had no end of issues with them. I'd always say go Intel.
