Epson EMP-51 red vertical line

Hello all.

 

I wondered if I could get some advise/help with an Epson EMP-51. I have recently been going through some of our old projectors to use for emergencies. I have one projector in particular that seems to work perfectly apart from a small vertical line which appears on the left hand side of the projected image. I have taken the projector apart and tried cleaning the contacts for the RGB ribbons as I hear that as they heat up and cool down they expand and fail? Either way, the projector works fine but the red line stops me from using it. I have drawn a picture as a basic example of the problem.
