speckytecky Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Running a HP Proliant ML350e running Server 2008 R2 and it suffered a BSOD in June and so far twice this month with a critical error 41 which resulted in what seems to have been an unexpected restart post BSOD. The MS link takes me to expletive laden https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/080b178d-5633-4bd1-8746-b442fcdc3851.aspx Any suggestions on a resolution would be welcome as MS don't seem to be offering an answer. The Server is still under warranty. My first thoughts are perhaps a BIOS update is needed or some other HP related hardware firmware update is needed.
Meldrew Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I seem to remember I came across something similar years ago. The way forward I think was to get diagnostics from the main board. With the server I had, you could get hold of a manufacturer utility that would show a mainboard eventlog that provided more information. Apart from that as you say, is your raid controller firmware up to date, including enclosure firmware (think its enclosure...) with matching windows drivers? HTH, Meldrew 1
