Windows 10 - Settings App - Disable Ability to CHnage Proxy Settings

Hi Guys,

We are looking at using Windows 10. We have been running a few test computers running Windows 10 Professional. We use a proxy server to monitor our students internet but have found if they go into Settings > Network and Internet they are able to select the proxy from the left hand menu and then disable the proxy server.Is there a way to prevent or gray out the 'switch' to disable the proxy settings? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be excellent.

Disable access to Settings??

Need to look at the bigger picture, why do they even need access to the Settings app? let alone getting to the proxy page.

We disabled settings via applocker. If you have a look around settings students are able to change far to much and can even reset the pc. We have gone for the blanket ban.

You can do it via user config > policies > admin templates > control panel. Then Enable Prohibit access to Control Panel and PC settings
