CAM Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I once walked into the NMs office with a sheepish look on my face and holding up my mouse. I'd accidentally fed the cable into the automatic stapler on my desk and severed the connection inside. >.> I've also used a printer so much in one day (school reports!) that the toner ran too low too hot and exploded inside the printer.
Chris_ Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Called to fix a jammed printer, one of those HP 1005. The paper pickerupper (is that a word?) had a tea bag crushed in it and tea leafs EVERYWARE in the printer. Didn't work again, must of got onto sensors or something. Always check your paper doesnt have a teabag on it before you print! I had a very similar one to this, had a HP P1006 that was jammed, somebody had left a cake on the paper (it has an exposed paper feed), forgotten about it and then sent something to print... cake all inside the printer mmm! 1

I think they've misunderstood the concept of 3d printing......
OkayiDave Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Convection heater vs Printer apologies for terrible quality, from a few years back. 1
dayzd Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Years back one of our IT teachers painted the top bezel of all the monitors in his classroom. Each row was a different colour, to signify a different team in his classes. Good idea, poor execution. In my old job, we had a teacher that spray painted his laptop with yellow black stripes. We weren't best pleased, and kept the machine running much longer than we would have before replacing it, despite complaints. Somone once left their laptop on top of their stove (their words, not mine!), think they had laptop on while doing stuff in kitchen and later one of the teenage kids used said stove without moving laptop. It was very melted! Had this one, too, except it wasn't blamed on their offspring. Ultimately the laptop still worked, so we didn't do anything with it. This is a tale my old boss told me. At the end of a lesson he had a frustrated kid complain the computer had 'eaten their money'. Upon further questioning, they'd opened the CD drive, placed a five pound note in it, and closed it. When they re-opened the drive, the money had disappeared! My boss waited until the end of the day and undid the magic trick with a special magic wand that he called "a screwdriver", and probably pocketing the fiver! 1
