carwardinet Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Hello all Does anyone know if you can restrict teachers view of assessment screens to only those on their timetable/department? Seems at the minute they have to sift through all groups to find there own... Cheers Tom
NotSoFast Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I don't think you can, but I think you could link the school assessment to teacher markbooks, then they can go to the markbook for their groups from their home screen.
djrscally Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 There's an access right called "Enter Assessments for all Screens/Groups" - if you revoke that from your teachers then they will only get access to the Teaching Groups they are actually assigned to. 2

Ah great, thanks. I thought this was the case but was concerned staff might lose some groups that they needed. Do you know how I assign them? Or is it pulled directly from their timetable? Also, if there's a way to view which groups each staff member can actually view that would be brilliant. Thanks For you help
djrscally Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 No problem It will be pulled from their timetable yes, but additional staff can be assigned to groups by just editing the group in Data | Groups | Learner Groups and ticking whoever you want to have access to them. Bear in mind that if you take a staff member off a group's timetable, Progresso doesn't automatically de-associate them from the group though, so you might find some staff who've moved groups a lot still have a lot of chaff. You can see the groups a staff member is linked to on their record, or you could use a report to view all the staff in one go. 1
carwardinet Posted October 14, 2016 Author Posted October 14, 2016 Just to clarify this wont affect their timetables? Really helpful, thanks!
djrscally Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 No problem! Correct; teachers can be linked to a Teaching Group without it then appearing on their timetable (unlike students) 1
