All,

I have a Windows 10 image I want to capture. It is not activated yet. I have MAK key. Should I activate it BEFORE I capture or do I not and activate it each time I pull it down to a new workstation?

Thank you in advance.

there is no point activating it before capture as sysprep will remove activation anyway. You need to activate it on each pc you deploy it to (if you have 25 or more and you jave a kms key save yourself a lot of work and use kms otherwise use a sysprep file with the key in when deploying your image

If you have a MAK, you can activate it before capture. After capture (as above), Windows will need activating, but it will do it silently in the background anyway (by default), so KMS isn't that beneficial in this respect. The MAK itself is cached, so Windows will use this to activate itself.
