RM Inform

Hey guys,

 

Just noticed on the RM support pages a couple of new tec articles referring to a new product called RM Inform. Does any body know what this is? Is anyone using this?

 

I can't see anything on their main pages referring to it. One of the TEC articles refers to the following url http://www.rminform.com

 

Looks like it is an agent that you install on your PCs and they report back to the mothership how often PCs are being used, login times etc.

RM Inform is currently in field trial and I am one of the people currently testing it. I'm not sure how much detail I can go into about it here. Your final sentence is what it does in a nutshell but it does collect other data about the devices too.

Re-Inventing the wheel - most of that can be done for free.

I was worried for a minute there that RM were aligning themselves with the government Prevent strategy... RM Inform, a handy way of reporting your friends or colleagues for subversion or radicalisation!
