Ok this may take some explaining.

We use papercut for printer authentication, we have our domain which runs a 172.x.x.x subnet, and a wireless byod network that runs on a 192.x.x.x subnet.

I want to be able to see and print from the byod network, our council handles the wifi and firewalls, they have opened it up so that we can login and authenticate to paper cut on the wifi, but we can not see the printers when on the wireless connection, i have been told to create a secondary papercut server on my mac mini which i have done. I have also been told to create a bridge between the ethernet port on the mac (Connected the domain) and the wireless port (Connected to wifi) to open the two networks up. I have no idea how to do this or even if its the correct thing to do.

I have been stuck on this for three weeks so if any one has successfully setup byod between two subnets please save my sanity.

Setup a secondary server as a web print server users browse to server:9191/user and login and they can then upload their jobs to the portal and still retrieve them. Have a read here.

If on your BYOD you use remote desktop just map them the normal printer like you would on your main network and print to that within the remote desktop session.
