First language

In the SIMS student details I can see the old 'Home Language' with an out of date list of options. I know how to hide this. What I can't work out to do is enter the students 'First Language'. There is a lookup, which has all the languages wee need, but no way of entering that I can see.

 

Any tips? (I've tried bulk update to no avail). It's the list with Lithuanian in it that I need
