Proxy settings vanishing

We're got two Macs which are being a right pain. Go into System Settings > Network , select Advanced and key in the proxy settings. Save them, go back in and the proxies have gone. I assume one of the plist files has the wrong perms, but I can't see anything obviously wrong.

 

Any ideas? (Apart from chucking them in the bin!)

El Capitan? If not, do a Disk Permissions repair in Disk Utility (as we found we had to do every few months, stupid things).

They're Lion (I think Noah used them). I'll try the perms repair when I can get access to the classroom.

Yeah Lion was awesome at breaking itself randomly and frequently. I'd certainly start with that.

A combination of repairing the disk permissions and setting the proxies with the networksetup command as root means they now stay set (well so far!)
