Visual studio community asking the students to sign in to unlock the product.

Hi

 

We have installed Visual studio community on all our ICT suites. Now when students open the application , it says: Licence 30 days trial( evaluation purpose only) your evaluation period has ended.Please sign in to unlock the product.

If I create a single account and ask ever student to sign with this account ,will this work\ do the students need to create individual accounts?

 

Any suggestions much appreciated.

This is a pain and its stupid as its per-user, per-machine. The pro version doesn't have this issue. Also are you using VS 2013? VS 2015 supports work accounts, so if you're using Office365 it just works

If you say the pro version, is it "Visual Studio Professional 2015 ?

They are licenced versions, so if I procure this version you mean I will not have to sign in and also supports work account?

2015 supports work accounts. Pro you can slap in a key it and it works - not sure if this is covered under the free dreamspark??

How do you get around this during exams when the internet is not allowed? for example, we use VS community edition too, and students sign in with thier O365 accounts, however during their Computing/Programming exams the internet must be disabled on their computers, making Visual Studio unuseable. Has anyone else had the same issue, or can you think of a way around it?

Did anybody have any success with this? We use Visual Studio Community 2015 and students are being asked to sign in with their office365 account, as far as I understand and can tell we have no official license for this product as it is free for student use. Does the 2015 community version always require this sign in or can we activate it with a free license so that students are not prompted? - similar to the above post we have exams where we disable internet access and this is going to cause some problems.
