We are currenty having an issue where newly created users are not appearing in the users list on the SIMS Teacher App admin console. When we look at the users list within SIMS System Manager the only difference between the new users and old users is that the new users do not have 'User' listed in the SIMS Role(s) column. We have been in contact with our support company and they have come back to say that this is a new feature of the Summer Upgrade and Capita are aware of this issue but it will not be fixed until the Christmas upgrade.

Has anyone else come across this issue yet and been in direct contact with Capita that may have any more info on this issue?

I don't know a huge amount but I spotted this apparent work around on the Capita MyAccount site:

There is a work around IF they have not already been added as an Employee. Add them first into System Manager, this will save them as a User. Then add a new Employee and pick up the record from System Manager.

I have restarted the SSM service with no change however I wasn't aware of there being a scheduled import for the Teacher App system, I thought it was a live link. Did you mean the Provision Users task for the Learning Gateway?

Another user suggestion on Capita advises to use System Manager 6 instead of 7. You should be able to add newly created Employees into the User Group.

Any chance you could send me a link to the page where this was suggested. I have a logon to the Capita MyAccount site but haven't been able to find it myself yet. Thanks.

I have been told this will be fixed in the Autumn release. In the mean time there is a patch that can be applied to set the User role where it is missing (The patch will need running after any new users are added) if like us System Manager 6 has been removed at all of our schools
