SCCM 2012 R2 - Software Supersedance

Hello,

We have never used software deployment correctly and I've been looking into it, along with the supersedence. I have created an application within SCCM which has two deployments - a 32-bit deployment and a 64-bit deployment. A new version has been released, so I have created another application with another two deployments - a 32-bit deployment and a 64-bit deployment. I wish to use supersedence to replace the old application deployments, though I only have the option to supersede one deployment.

 

I have attached a screenshot of the issue.

 

If I choose 'Do not replace' (whether the 'Uninstall' check box is selected or not) and click 'OK', it doesn't add the supersedence, it does not appear in the box...its as if I haven't bothered trying.

If I choose 'Serif DrawPlus X6 -x86' (whether the 'Uninstall check box is selected or not) and click 'OK', it appears as a superseded application in the dialogue box, but this is for the 32-bit deployment only. If I then attempt to add another superseded application for the 64-bit deployment, I am unable to select the old application as it does not appear in the selection list, presumably because the application has already been selected for supersedence for the 32-bit.

 

Question - How do I supersede the 64-bit deployment? Or am I going to have to create one application per architecture deployment?

Looks that way I'm afraid, I've only used 64 bit applications.

Bump - Anybody know how I can get one application containing two deployment types (x86 and x64) to supersede an old deployment with just one deployment type (x86)?
