thimon Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Hi guys. I'm having real trouble getting a bat file to run on startup to add Remote Assistance to the start menu > all apps. The batch file works fine when you run it manually on a machine (see screenshot), but I cannot get the bat file to run on startup using GPO. I can remotely run it using PDQ Deploy but would really like this to apply when the machine boots up. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!
Domino Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Would it not be simpler to do via Group Policy Preferences? https://www.blackforce.co.uk/2015/05/06/create-desktop-start-menu-shortcuts-using-group-policy-preferences
thimon Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 @Domino I've tried this, will have another crack at it though. This shall not defeat me!
Knil92 Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Why not just make a schedule task that runs at log on, and then have it start the batch file?
