BackupAssist RSYNC Freenas

Just playing about with a local private "cloud" and backupassist

 

I've a HP Microserver set up with freenas, windows server with backupassist doing a Mirror copy with RSYNC, however I'm getting errors to do with this https://www.backupassist.com/support/en/knowledgebase/BA3022-Error-allocating-core-memory-buffers.html?cshid=BA3022

 

It's telling me not to backup NTFS metadata which just sounds wrong to me because if I need to restore the data I would need to remember the permissions - is this how everyone else does it ?

 

There's not even that much data

 

Microserver has 12 gig of ram is this enough ?
