Windows 10 Anniversary Mandatory Profiles

Just wondering what you folks have done in terms of v6 profile.

 

Did you copy v5 and rename to v6?

Or have you create a new v6 completely?

 

Also how does your profile share look with the default profile, v2, v3, v4, v5 & v6; have you cleaned it up so that you just have a Windows 7 v2 and v6 Windows 10 (1607)? Or like us you still have a profile for each Windows even though you don't use Windows XP, 8/8.1 etc

I've yet to get a Mandatory Profile to work reliably in any release of W10 so still using standard local profiles and deleting then after logoff!

I copied the .v5 folder to .v6 to see how it'd go, and it seems fine.

Hi dooley_do how are you deleting the local profiles after logoff?

I'm looking through options on how best to do this moving over to UEV. Roaming profiles and mandatory roaming profiles have been causing me too many headaches recently.

With 1607 we've started using Shared PC mode, seems to delete reliably. With 1511 as we have AppSense Environment Manager I was using the flip to guest technique at logoff which basically sets the profile type as guest when you logoff and this makes Windows delete it.

I've not done any solid testing. On a VM I see an initial logon time of about 40 seconds using shared mode and with many of the modern apps removed using a local profile...
