Hey all, not entirely sure if this is the right thread.

I'm relatively new to App-V, and I'm trying to get a better understanding of streaming in SCCM 2012 (App-V 5.1). I've packaged up Adobe CS6, and it works fine. However, I'm trying to run it by streaming it from the server. When I press to install it, I was expecting it to stream it from the server and only download the parts I require. But unfortunately it seems to cache it all in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\App-V\etc and then seems to stream it in C:\Users\%Username%\AppData. I feel this takes up too much time and I guess I'm not streaming it properly.

Could someone point me in the right direction as I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

Rough steps I've taken:

- Created the App-V Package

- Put App-V Package into SCCM (app-v 5 option).

- Went into the properties and changed it from the download option to stream.

- Deploy package (available) to testing group

- On client I install package.

The only thing I can think of is the deploy package available - does this have to be required?

Any suggestions/ideas?

When I used it ages ago stream basically meant on demand rather than preloading it before use. When the user ran the app it would then cache it locally then and I thought it would clean up the cached data later but I can't remember exactly.
