[sims] Gradeset PG Colour Property

I just want to display a colour on the mark sheet cell instead of the grades, I know I can do this using a nested if construction, however there is property called PG Colour in grade set and wondering what is the use of this, I have assigned a colour for each grade and hoping this will show up but unfortunately this is not happening.. please can someone explain what is the use of this property, can't find anything in documentation. Thanks.
