Looking at the second trailer it looks like they are going for Sonic Generations 2 which is no bad thing if they make it work. What I do find interesting is that they are both pegged to be launched for the Nintendo NX. This is probably the first real indicator that the Wii U really is dead in the water now. Still, in 15 years time it will become a form favorite with retro gamers after a platform with a complete collection which is easy to accumulate. Edited July 25, 2016 by Dos_Box

As to future depends if nx has virtual console or not and tbh they would be stupid not to release it with vc and hopefully add gamecube/wii possibly even wii u titles/compatability to it. How many gc classics are there out there that cost a fortune 2nd hand now im really shocked they diddnt pull that out on wiiu as it can run the disks if you use a homebrew os

sted Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 meh its fun but some of the bosses suck stuck on one where you have to deflect minions at him and of course its in act 2 so means a fair trek to retry it

I like the way that they have kept the 16bit look and feel but utilized the power of modern gaming machines, Studiopololis is a great example of this. This review gives a pretty fair overview of the game:
