speckytecky Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 A question my oh so wise friends of Edugeek. My 18 year old daughter is off to University (probably Swansea) in September. Any suggestions please on where might be best for her banking please? She currently has a young persons account and ISA with Barclays but they seem a bit take or leave it as to retaining her custom.
Steve21 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 What's she want from it? Found a lot of them varied hugely depending on how you live. Some give free tickets to concerts/gigs, one used to do free railcard, some do large overdrafts (always nice to have but obviously risky too haha) etc etc As an example Santander currently is 4 year raid card, 0% overdraft, 3% interest etc (Up to 2k but assuming student wise might not have lots saved ) 1|2|3 Student Bank Accounts | Student Current Account - Santander UK Steve 1
Norphy Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Nationwide? Has the advantage of not being a bank therefore not giving your money to shareholders?
