carotheoptimist Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 We need to have one member of staff be timetabled into two lessons at the same time as they float between the two. Is this possible in novat6? I get a clash message but can't seem to find the section where I can unlock or break a rule for staff clashes. I also need to have students leave after lunch on one day of the week, I put in blanking codes in the model section but can't relax the one per day rule to assign them to Friday lesson 6 and 7, can this be done?
BKGarry Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Timetable both lessons but one without the teacher. Then go to to the timetable for the class without a teacher. Right click and select Add Teacher (like you would a room) then you can show all teachers and will allow you to clash it there.
carotheoptimist Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 Many thanks this has worked for the staff clashes. Is there any way of using blanking codes in the mode section to blank out lessons 6 and 7 on a Friday for students only or do I do this another way?
BKGarry Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I am afraid they will just stay there I think, I don't recall a blanking code for students. You could, in theory, make a massive derived group for all students, and give it an alternate name and schedule it then and then just tick all the students in SIMS, but it will appear as a register to be marked. I would leave it blank myself
carotheoptimist Posted July 18, 2016 Author Posted July 18, 2016 I'm only able to timetable one blanking code to a derived group called 'All' which is all students . When I block it only lets me block one lesson and doesn't offer the ability to break the one lesson per day rule. I think in Sims a tick can be taken away under curriculum management by scheme, I shall check and see. Thanks a lot for the help.
RootsSchImp Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Making it a double is the best plan. If you want to relax the one per day rule you do that on the auto screen, by right clicking the block 1
