NetSupport Notify deployment error

Just trying to use the NetSupport Notify Deploy tool to install the agent to a few machines and they all give a 7030 error in Event Viewer :

 

"The PCI Remote Installation Server service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."

 

And in the tool they don't show as having the agent.

 

Ideas?

I know that our support team have been in touch to provide an explanation/solution to your question(s) - However, I thought I would post the explanation/solution on this thread in case anyone else experiences the same…

 

Event ID 7030 in the Event log "The PCI Remote Installation Server service is marked as an interactive service"

- The NetSupport Notify deployment tool uses RPC (Remote Procedure Calls) to temporarily install and start a service to deploy the NetSupport Notify agent, Windows may have been configured to block this type of service.

 

To resolve the issue follow the instructions in the following Microsoft TechDoc: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756339(v=ws.10).aspx

 

 

The NetSupport Notify deployment tool not showing that the Agent is installed:

- Inbound connections on UDP port 54328 are being blocked by your firewall/AV Software or similar.

 

Enable incoming connections on UDP port 54328 in order for the NetSupport Notify deployment tool to display information about target machines.
