timbo343 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Yesterday I had a phone call from 2 different people outside of work stating after thursday evening / friday morning they couldnt connect to the net or event their routers on their machines which were connected to the router via ethernet. After lots a trail and error it turns out there was a problem on 2 different machines with Avast. The avast firewall was blocking the connection. Thought i post this up incase anyone else has any problems.
xenonive Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I have also found the network scanning from Avast can cause some routers to reboot.
fredbayker Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Not relevant to this but coincidentally they've just acquired AVG!
