New Version of NetSupport DNA :)

Hi all,

 

We wanted to share an update on the new version of NetSupport DNA (v4.3) that will be released in the next week. It's a significant release as it really reflects all the great ideas that came our way from many of our new NetSupport DNA customers and a few evaluators who had something specific in mind. in the last 10 weeks we have shipped over a quarter of a million licences of NetSupport DNA, which we are really proud of.

 

The newest version now has a new "Explorer" mode, where all PCs on the network can be viewed in a details mode with current alerts and status information on display, or in a visual thumbnail mode where you can monitor device screens ( incl multi monitor), launch R/C or 1:1 support features. Power management has been extended so you can now define holiday period throughout the school year where power management rules don't apply, and we have extend the options on our activity monitoring and rules. The safeguarding module now includes a very funky word cloud for safeguarding staff, additional "self service" safe guarding resources and extra features like attaching documents to any concerns raised, and marking students as vulnerable. There are dedicated safeguarding user accounts so they are self sufficient and don't need IT support for day to day use.

 

Our multi-site feature allows any number of schools to connect securely back to a central repository, for operator accounts to be limited to a selected school or department within a school and we include gateway components for HTTP connections where a WAN is not available.

Thanks for the info Al - all I will say folks is Al is very knowledgeable about NetSupport's products/services (having spoken to him recently), but also has an excellent understanding of school requirements of all sizes. He's answered all my questions/queries effortlessly and soon NetSupport will be playing a big role in the networks I proactively manage; from small independent schools to MATs, the products scale well in both scenarios, but more crucially are cost effective the more integral the likes of Safeguarding and system monitoring become.

 

I should state clearly I have no business interest in the comments I've made above - purely honest feedback from a sound company offering good quality products/services. Was an absolute pleasure talking to Al and talking to someone on the same wavelength
