Citrix XenDesktop Express 5.6 ISO?

Hi, I'm looking to properly try out Citrix XenDesktop at home with a spare Server and PC I have. I used to have an ISO for Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 Express Edition when it was current (2013 era, I think?) however when searching for it on one of the servers, it appears I have deleted it and are having trouble obtaining the installation files anywhere online.

 

It used to be a free product and was wondering if any of you had a copy of it you could send me? I still have my original licence file in my E-Mail however when trying to obtain the installation files off the Citrix website I get redirected to a page with "Oops, the page your trying to view isn't here."

 

Any help or guidance appreciated. I know it's a long shot but hoping one of you may be able to point me in the right direction.

Hi, don't worry. I've found my installation files on a System Backup from December. If anyone in the future wants the installation files, PM me and I'll be happy to send. It's given me enough of a headache!

I do have the license file, but unfortunately, the optical media where I had it stored is damaged, and the file is corrupt.

Hi, I have found that it is the Express Edition, not the "full" version required. Is that okay for you?

I would like to test Version 5.6 as well. It really is a shame that Citrix still offers the iso in the download list but then force you to start a trial for the newest version.

I came across your blog post via googling XenDesktop express for some time. I run a non-profit and we have always wanted to try XenDesktop but because cost, it has always been outside our scoop. Over the last two years, we have been able to increase our data center power and would like to test drive XenDesktop. I wanted to know if it would be possible to obtain a copy of your XenDesktop express iso?
