Office 365 Groups vs SharePoint Teamsites

I am at a crossroads between Office 365 Groups and SharePoint Teamsites for our staff. Ideally I would like to leverage the file store too.

 

Thoughts?

 

Groups

+ Awesome mobile app

+ Notebook, files, conversations created

+ Easy sync or webdav

+ Team page apparently coming this year with new modern builder

 

- No 'hierarchy' / 'line-of-sight' for creation - each is it's own entity

 

SharePoint Teamsites

+ Notebook and files

+ Easy sync or webdav

+ Team page apparently coming this year with new modern builder

+ Line of sight and hierarchy

 

- No conversations

- Mediocre/no mobile app (iOS only)

There is now a Sharepoint iOS App

Have you used it yet? I found it to be pretty underwhelming and not on par with the Groups app.

Still waiting for these "Modern" Team Sites in my tenant, has anyone got them?

@EduTech any ideas when we're meant to get these new features? Roadmap has had them in "Rolling Out" phase for ages now.
