NovaT - New Timetable cycle

Next AY we are altering the timings of our school day. I have completed the TT on NOVA and have sent through the new cycle details via the "data - export cycle to SQL" menu.

Most of the TT has gone in successfully with the new timings all being correct. However, the registration first thing seems to be hooked onto 07:45 when it should be 08:00. I have tried to alter this including remodeling how the reg periods are put together with no success.

When I look in NovaT at the "tools- define periods timings" menu the timings are all as they should be ie the reg period is showing as 08:00.

If anyone have any suggestions as to how to resolve this I would be grateful The only thing I have not done is to resubmit the timetable cycle again to Sims. The dire warnings that come up have put me off.

Have you switched the academic year you're viewing in SIMS? Tools| Course Manager?| Set Academic Year? It may be that when set to the current ac yr you see that year's timings even when looking into the future.

 

If it's not that resending the cycle for next AY shouldn't cause a problem unless you've already allocated students to next year's classes. If you've done that I'd recommend backing those up to Excel before resending.
