SimpleSi Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I haven't seen a Mac in years but maybe someone could assist me please? A teacher has a Mac at home and the mouse is iffy. Can she just buy an ordinary USB PC mouse or does she have to get a special Apple one? regards Simon
GrumbleDook Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I use a 5 button M$ optical wheelmouse ... done me fine for the last 3 years and if I have to use a Mac somewhere I will take the Apple mouse out and put this in in (unless there is a Mighty Mouse connected)
indie Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Yes, any USB mouse will be fine. Most mac apps are even written to make use of a right button, most apps will bring up context menus etc. Apple started supplying single button mice because they wanted the user experience to be simple with no "Is that a left click, or right click?" problem for new users.
E1uSiV3 Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 ctrl click anyone? I must admit tho it can be a lil irritating and i do find myself using my third finger in an attempt to press the non existent right mouse button sometimes but thats coming from a windows environment every day
