TMG - Accessing localhost:8080

Hi Folks,

 

A bit of strange one, the new curriculum is fast approaching and the head of IT wants to run Usbwebserver V8

 

However any user of TMG gets the following error;

 

 

Is it even possible to allow localhost:8080 through? If so could someone point me in the right direction please?

Is the TMG box being used as a Proxy or as SecureNAT? If it's a proxy, try putting localhost into the browser's proxy bypass list.

 

You shouldn't need to but I've seen sillyness like that from Windows before.

Wow, totally over thought that! Cheers Norphy, you're a champion.

 

(Just FYI, yes it was a Proxy, and yes putting in the IE Bypass list worked a charm!)

Yep anything that is running inside the local LAN or WAN needs an entry in the proxy exeptions otherwise the proxy tries to look for it outside on the internet, and doesn't find it!
