localzuk Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 So, I've been trying to think of ways to build up the gaming community here a little, and I had a thought - do we have any regular Twitch streamers on here?
LiamHaith Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I used to have a decent enough following and I've streamed a plethora of stuff. At the moment my stream times are a little strange due to work hours so typically it's 5am-8am weekdays.
witch Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 My nephew does - Two Angry Gamers TV Not that that is relevant, but I am proud of him
X-13 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 No-one else streaming on Twitch? I'm not at the moment. I did, but I ended up spending way too much time editing video for YouTube... Got other things I need to focus on at the moment. I'll probably go back to streaming once/if things get sorted.

Just have the shows available on Twitch and stream the next one. Means you don't have to faff with editing, and can put more time into the streaming instead.
Joanne Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I've streamed a couple of times, but only had 1 or 2 watchers. Think I scare them off with my creepyness.
X-13 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I've streamed a couple of times, but only had 1 or 2 watchers. Think I scare them off with my creepyness. Stream more, I need to see this.

Lonix Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I've been tempted to.. but I don't know. Would people be really interested in me playing a bit of FFXIV then Division daily and perhaps a few other games... Maybe if I had my old minecraft map that was interesting.. I think.. considering how much I built..
Joanne Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 My heavy breathing and filthy remarks may be hard to sit though... HAHAHAH!
X-13 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 My heavy breathing and filthy remarks may be hard to sit though... HAHAHAH! Oh man... having to mess around with noise gates and audacity to get rid of breathing sounds is tedious. I think I just developed the ability to talk without breathing. It's way easier.
LiamHaith Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I had to take a small break from streaming due to trying to make overlays and stuff, sadly artsy stuff isn't my exact forte.
X-13 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I had to take a small break from streaming due to trying to make overlays and stuff, sadly artsy stuff isn't my exact forte. I experimented with a few, in the end I just made a textured image as the background and made the gameplay have a slight border. Simple and effective. Overlays are cool, but too busy.
sted Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I've streamed a couple of times, but only had 1 or 2 watchers. Think I scare them off with my creepyness. ditto but just using the built in xbone app last time someone wanted to know what just cause 3 was like so i streamed it for a few hours while i played lol
bald_pig Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I mean, I'd stream if I played more, and played more seriously, but I don't lol. If we were playing regular games together I'd probably be streaming them
LiamH Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I find that the best streamers don't bother with Youtube. Just have the shows available on Twitch and stream the next one. Means you don't have to faff with editing, and can put more time into the streaming instead. I think a lot of that is down to licensing as well. You can pay for "streaming rights" to quite a bit of music on twitch, but if you cross platform stream to youtube/hitbox they don't carry over so you can get hit with DRM. I play with a few streamers so are regularly on a lot of streams. Hosting wouldn't suit me though as I tend to be calm and slowly spoken, Most popular streamers are over the top and full of hype.
localzuk Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 Reason I'm asking about this, is I'm wondering if we could create an EduGeek Twitch channel, and maybe host some of you guys and gals on it?
sted Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Reason I'm asking about this, is I'm wondering if we could create an EduGeek Twitch channel, and maybe host some of you guys and gals on it? does twitch do multiscreening yet so say 4 of us could all stream a gta5 heist for instance? i know youtube can
localzuk Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 does twitch do multiscreening yet so say 4 of us could all stream a gta5 heist for instance? i know youtube can No, but I suppose it could be done by someone rebroadcasting all 4 streams from a PC.
bald_pig Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 No, but I suppose it could be done by someone rebroadcasting all 4 streams from a PC. This, it's fairly easy to send multiple streams to one machine, and then broadcast to twitch.
Arreks Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I used to quite a lot, but not anymore - not enough time/effort to put into it.
Mewdewgooboofoo Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 you could put all the streams in a multitwitch link for viewers and just keep posting the link in to the channel chats multitwitch.tv
localzuk Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 Indeed. However, not as elegant as rebroadcasting.
