WIFI taking an age to connect

Hi,

 

I have a Lenovo X131e laptop here, with a broadcom wireless card.

 

When the machine boots up its taking minutes for it to connect to the WIFI. If i disable the card and enable it again, it connects instantly.

 

I have tried a few different drivers but nothing has changed.

 

Does anyone have any thoughts please?

had a similar issue with a laptop with an intel card which part of the bluetooth (or visa versa) would take a while to connect and it was because the bluetooth was looking for network connections etc and hold the rest up

from memory i think we disabled the bluetooth network stack / the device as the area which the laptop was being used in had no requirement for bluetooth.

a driver "bump" did improve the issue but didnt entirely fix it.

 

when i was looking at the event viewer logs the laptop would always wait for the bluetooth adapter to looks for an address / network before the dhcp client did anything on the Wifi part of the card.

 

in a word it was extremely odd.

We need Bluetooth. But I have since had a fiddle with it and i think I have solved it by disabling Wimax in the bios.
