Hi

Does anyone use GPO file policy, I have 2 GPO's, 1 to delete a file and another to copy one. Occassionaly my windows 7 PC's get stuck on 'applying group policy files policy' when booting up. Has anyone else noticed any adverse affects from using this policy?

Cheers

Hi, yes. We did have similar in an environment I took over. The previous technician had done it the way you are describing. Eventually, we created one policy and it didn't seem to hang for as long.

Cheers man, I have done away with them, I have found another way to do it without the need for the files policy. I have noticed a delay like this when a PC is not shut down correctly too, its as if the GPO's need to do something before they let the user logon.

Good stuff, glad you've got it sorted.
