ITGURU Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Hi Does anyone else run CensorNet on hyper-v and ever had any crashing issues?? Also, what spec are you running and how many users? We've had censornet for 6 months and yet to have a month without any crashes, which seems to be down to the image filtering. Does anyone else run the image filter for their policy groups and ever had any problems? Thanks.
JackCPickup Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Have you been in touch with their support? Best support out there.
ITGURU Posted June 8, 2016 Author Posted June 8, 2016 yes, they keep taking logs each time for the last 6 months!
Meldrew Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 What sort of resources have you assigned the VM? It does need quite a lot of RAM. We have it running bare metal, but have 16Gb RAM. If you don't seem to be getting anywhere with support, I'd advise contacting Mick Tate at censornet. He wrote the original version of censornet and he really knows his stuff. At the very least, he'll be able to explain the situation I'm sure. HTH, Meldrew
ITGURU Posted June 9, 2016 Author Posted June 9, 2016 Yes have been working with Mick and the other support chaps. It's got 13gb ram and about 12 cores. Peak usage is am about 300 concurrent users. Definitely not a resource issue which they have confirmed.
