Archipelego1 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help. Since the installation of our Smoothwall UTM solution, I've noticed that some of our servers are now detecting their network as a public profile, rather than Domain. Also, one of our domain controllers is stuck trying to identify its network. All servers have the Smoothwall UTM as their default gateway. Has anyone come across this issue? Thanks
superaz300 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Well, I do remember this a while back and the solution for me was to use port 801 as the proxy on the servers so they are not going through the web filter. Might be worth logging a call with Smoothwall, they are such a friendly team and can fix problems very quickly!
FAliSW Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Hi, It is usually recommended to bypass the servers by adding their IP addresses under source exceptions (Guardian>Web Filter>Exceptions). You don't have to use port 801 as Smoothwall is your default gateway and the traffic will be going transparently. Thanks,
jezi55 Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 I bypass all my servers through the exceptions and don't get any issues.
