Hi.

One of our rooms has an InFocus EP24+ projector in it.

We've just had it replaced because the image was messed up on it.

The problem now is that it wont detect an image off the teachers laptop whose room its in!?

Its odd, because the projector works with other laptops fine.

And the teachers laptop (D510) works with other projectors fine.

Im a bit stumpted here.

Tryed everything i can think of, settings, drivers, etc;

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance all. :).

refresh rate as well, trying altering that ( making sure that the projector can work with the refresh rate set )

ie from 75hz to 60 hz or whatever.

Also what onboard graphics does the D510 have ?

Might need to use the intel graphics utility to do a clone display, right click on desktop --> graphics properties --> app / util opens up --> go to display section of the util ( at least I think its that section ) it should give you an option to click on a radio button to enable clone display and then choose which display is primary and which is secondary.

If that does not work there should be a function key ( FN ) key at the bottom left , if they hold that down along with pressing the relevant function key which is generally F8 or F5 or one of those. it should also switch it from the notebook display to the projector.

Short of that, not sure.

Refresh rates.

Intel graphics utility.

Function key.

Still no luck.

Its not a biggy, as ive just swapped the laptop with one that does work, but i still wouldnt mind knowing what was up with it for future reference.

Hi, if you boot the laptop with the projector connected do you gaet and image from it at any stage?

I have seen many times the graphics output drop with age and will not provide enough PtoP Voltage to power a particular projector, but will work fine with another combination of projector / computer.
