WeChat Unblock

We have been asked by the Head to look into unblocking WeChat, as we know that lots of the Chinese students use it to contact parents.

 

Has anyone else unblocked it? (We are using smoothie) and what timings do you do it on? As obviously china is obviously 8 hours ahead of us.

Did you ever implement this, looking to unblock WeChat for a single student on Smoothwall , can't find anything in their documentation but Smoothwall classifies it as

Content of type Instant Messaging VoIP and Web Conferencing ( Domain/URL filtering )

 

in the logs but would like to just do WeChat
