Exchange 2010 to Office 365 Migration

Im going to migrate from Exchange 2010 to Office 365 and wanted to know if anyone can point me in the direction of some decent guides on how to do this? Im probably going down the Hybrid route to minimize disruption to users.

Hello

 

I do a few of these migrations for companies and schools throughout the year, I normally do a cutover Migration.

 

All of the mailboxes are synced upto 365 and then you can change at anytime by updating your MX record, however it is all or nothing with this method.

 

If you want to go this method let me know and I can give you some advice.

Any pointers wouldn't be great. I'm in the process of setting up an SSL certificate, upgrading to SP3 and enabling Outlook Anywhere.

How much?!!

 

With Hybrid you need to ensure Autodiscover and Outlook Anywhere is configure correctly. You also need SSL.

 

Cutover is a lot easier but SSL is still required although I always use a free trial certificate to do it.

Hello All

 

I have never done one of that size and microsoft would recommend that you perform batches or setup a hybrid deployment.

 

I have no expeirence with either scenario.

Outlook anywhere can be tested with the connectivity analyser website, if this works you should be able to setup the same within the migration connector and away you go.
