Techdw Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Has anyone else had issues with not being able to get hold of impero support? When you do get hold of someone and expect a call back you never do. I have had so many issues with the software over the past 6 months. Not good considering the money they charge. What other classroom management software is everyone else using?
newpersn Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Been fine for us. Had help and our issue sorted within 24hrs of logging a call.
CamelMan Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) I've not had a major problem but others have - there are a few threads knocking about with Impero reps in there too if you need a chat. But yes the product doesnt seem as solid as it used to be - its gone from a "no brainer recommendation" to a "try it first" for me. Edited May 25, 2016 by CamelMan
NokiX Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I think most people will have mixed reviews with Impero currently as I find sometimes I get a quick reply and sometimes my tickets get left for days without attention. The last request I raised has still not been responded to when it was submitted on Monday morning yet other times I'll get a response very quickly. Thankfully it's not a major problem but we once had to re-activate our license and couldn't get hold of support so went without Impero for a day before the US team emailed us at 1am to say they had resolved the issue. I hope they work on their consistency as it's lacking at the moment.
speckytecky Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Come on Impero; you have a fantastic product but there are far too many people not happy with the upgrades or consistency of your support at present. For what it's worth I'm a totally happy customer and bless the day my school bought into the product. It's past high time you did some damage limitation though.
Fazza Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Something odd must be going on at Impero then as there software has been quite buggy recently and the version numbers seem to be rocketing along as they fix/improve things! I blame Windows 10 as it's the root of all evil according some!! Been with Impero for years and never had a problem getting through to support - when we have left voicemail messages we always get someone getting in touch to help us out or (more often than not) answer a question we have about how to do something in Impero.
Homer Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 It is starting to improve but it really isn't brilliant at the moment and the QA process on their releases of late has been shockingly awful - almost as bad as the time frame between knowing of the issue and releasing a fix for it. That said, I'm sure Mic will pick up on this soon and see if he can action this. I just hope their hiring of extra staff and so on makes a difference, because if not we may be waving bye bye to Impero at the end of our current license term.
