Moving away from Smarthost to Exchange SMTP issue

Hi

 

Just trying to move away from Smarthost to get Exchange to send SMTP direct but getting a few emails blocked while testing:

 

mx4.tb.ukmail.iss.as9143.net gave this error:

Dynamic/Generic hostnames are blocked. Please contact your Email Provider. Your IP was 109.204.98.19. Your hostname was unknown.griffin.com.

 

 

This message was rejected by the recipient e-mail system. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try resending this message, or contact the recipient directly.

 

I assume I need to setup an SFP record or contact the ISP ..the Address as far as I know is static so must be the generic hostname is blocked, is this an easy fix?

Is your server on a non public tLD like .local?

Yes it's .sch

I'm not sure on this one but does the address resolve externally and does the PTR record exist for the address and point to the correct IP?
