Anyone recommend an rsync compatible cloud backup service - cheap as possible

I know cheapness should never come into it but in the reality of things it sadly has to for us.

I am looking at renewing our backup for our physical servers. Looking at purchasing two qnap NAS servers 32 TB each and using backup assist to backup to one and mirror to the other.

I would like to see if we can find an affordable cloud backup service that uses rsync to be compatible with backup assist.

Can anyone recommend one? Or does anyone use one with backup assist currently?

Need to find one asap.

Cheers

We use insync - $25 per year for 3 accounts. Sits on a backup server and syncs to a Google Apps account. Seems to work very well - requires no intervention. insync works a lot better and has many more options than the regular gsync app.

qnap has a plugin in their cloud that connects to a GAFE account.

Unlimited storage for free

What is the app called? Any guides or links for setting it up?

Thanks

Thanks. How much do you have backing up to there? Does it just cover documents or can you set systemstates etc

Those account currently hold about 6Tb. Server backups (so virtual machine daily backups and the like). We also sync all security camera footage to an account and share on a google site for the people who need to see it. We use Google Apps for everything - so not really got much in the way of local docs as everyone has unlimited drives.

So just create a standard account in GAFE and have the software point at their drive? easy as?

Ah that's the next dream. Moving everyone onto onedrive. Might pick your brains about how you have done it at some point if you don't mind?

Yes - as easy as that - not sure why anyone would pay give unlimited storage is available for free. Would go GDrive not onedrive - but then we are a Google Reference School - so a little biased!

We use gigacloud. It's on the DFE approved list (I think that's the EU jurisdiction etc). Works very well for us. I upload things like the Sims and FMS BAK files daily for my off site

Yes - in account settings (click the little person icon - then the bottom option on the left), you can select the Insync folder location. In selective sync (top option) you can pick which folders from Drive to sync.

Have you ever had the issue where when you open cloud drive sync it just gets stuck on Loading, please wait...

Can't say I have. It isn't very speedy though
