OS Sever/Profile Manager, Home Layout Screen - Web Clips/Beta Apps

Hi, Not sure if I'm in the right section, If I'm not please do let me know (or move my thread to the correct location )

 

 

My Mac knowledge and skills aren't great so please bare with me on anything lol.

I'm running Profile Manager via Mac's OS Server (took ages to get it working correctly and with apple Configurator 2) and with the iOS 9.3 recent updates to control the home screen layouts have been great however I'm having one slight issue, Web Clips and Beta Apps (Test flight).

 

Took a while to get to grips with the new configurations but I got the home screens looking how we want them (and the kids can't mess around with it too!) but no matter what I try Web Clips and Beta App (from Test Flight - HAP+) we're using can't be sorted by the configuration, they are just dumped on the first page. I currently have to manually move them via apple Configurator 2 (which in it's self great) however every time there is a update, refresh, iPad being turned on/off etc. I'm back to square 1 with the webclips are just left on the first page and not on Dock where I want them.

 

Am I missing something, am I just that Apple illiterate I'm missing something obvious or easy to get these web clips etc. on the dock and stay there? I'm sure we have the ability to configure these as the release notes for iOS 9.3 stated we could (but then again they could be referring to apple Configurator 2). It's also the same about hiding apps etc. the release notes stated this but I can't find out how, I'd rather hide stuff like, Mail, Find Friends, Mail, Tips etc.

I can't help with the webclips, but I have managed to hide Apps which was quite a revelation!

 

I used Meraki, but the restriction is also in configurator.

I deploy a Web Clip app using Profile manager, there's and option to add them under iOS /Web Clips.

I've tried hiding the settings app on our supervised iPads and it makes the task fail. Cannot work out why...

I deploy them as a profile along with the wifi settings so when we enroll them to our profile manager we don't have to enter the wifi settings at the start up wizard. It's easier this way as we can full customize them, if done via profile manager the images/icons are messed up for some weird reason; cropping issue, even if I use the exact sizes as detailed on apple's website.

 

I encountered the issue with settings today, did a test worked great added more (inc. settings) and it failed, had to undo the home-screen layout settings thinking it was that, my only guess it's a fail safe in case something goes wrong you can at least access the settings (we were gonna add/remove settings 'app' if and when we needed to access it.

That would be far too easy! At least making them supervised slightly locks them down.
